Hi, my name is Shade. I'm looking for a new forever home with a kind human who is willing to keep and love me forever. Can you help me?

I am a six and a half (maybe seven) year old Domestic Short Hair possibly mixed with some Russian Blue. Isn't my fur lovely?

Now, you'll notice I said "forever" twice in my intro. That is because it is very important to me that my new family doesn't abandon me. That is what my last family did, I'm afraid... A kind volunteer found me and brought me to Paws and Prayers promising to help me find a new home.

I will make the best tv buddy as I like to lounge on the couch with my favorite human and watch whatever's on tv. What are your favorite shows to watch?

When I'm not lounging I like to wander around and explore. I get along with other cats and kids but not so sure about dogs,

Hello, I'm Genesis. I'm searching for a kind and patient human to give me a forever home. Do you think you can help me find one?

I am a two year old Tabby mixed breed with a short coat. Tabbies tend to have an "M" shape on their foreheads. What do you think of mine?

As stated, I feel I need a patient and kind human who doesn't mind admiring me from afar. I'm not an aggressive cat by any means - Just very cautious around humans. I hope you understand.

I would do well in a home with other cats to help me feel comfortable, but please no dogs or children. They make me nervous.

I love to get up high and survey the area so please get me a cat tower or even some shelving that I can climb. I do appreciate those who love me and want to keep an eye on them at all times.

I may not like attention but I am gentle and loving in my own ways. I do hope someone will give me a chance.

Hi there, I'm King. I am searching for my own human to give me a new forever home. Can you help me find one?

I am a large black and brown Lab/Retriever mix. Great mix of breeds don't you think? I like to think I'm the best of both of them.

I am at the shelter because my last human didn't have time for me. I'm told that the owner of this site, Miss Bangs, was surrendered for that same reason. I hope to have the same luck that she did with finding the right human.

As my name suggests, I like to be in charge when it comes to other dogs so if I go to a new home, a submissive dog is the best playmate for me. I can deal with cats but they make me a little nervous. I am good with older teens about sixteen and up are best.

I'd say I have a medium to high energy level. I do love to play. Especially with tennis balls! Please spoil me  with lots of them. Let's play fetch!

I don't want to brag but I am pretty smart. I love to learn and am always ready to be taught new tricks. Got any new ones for me to learn?

I am a three year old Domestic Short Hair with a Tuxedo pattern. You know what they say about Tuxedo cats, don't you? We have a lot of cattitude!

A few words that describe me would be - playful, energetic, and fun! I love to play, but I do get overstimulated from time to time. Please be patient with me when that happens, okay?

I wasn't too happy when I first arrived at Paws and Prayers but, with a little time and patience I became a happy and sweet boy. They aren't so bad here. I hope I find a nice human like them to call my own. 

I'd do better in a home without dogs or children, please. They don't understand that I need my space and can get overstimulated, you see.

That said, I absolutely adore the company of fellow cats! I even like to take kittens under my wing, sometimes. They are so fun to play with and can keep up with my energy level.

FYI I am litter box trained as well as neutered so I am all ready to come home to my forever human. I like to vocalize, but not too much. What do you think? Can we be best friends?

Hi there, my name is Zevyn. Cool name, right? I'm searching for a forever home with a human who doesn't mind a kitty with a sensitive stomach. Can you help me find one?

I am a six year old Domestic Short Hair mix who's large enough to fit in both of your arms. That's right, I am a big boy.

Speaking of fitting in your arms, I like being held and hugged very much. I'm a lover, not a fighter. I'm told I really lighten up the room when I walk in.

As stated before, I have a sensitive tummy due to IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I must be kept on a grain free diet and do best when I'm on a probiotic as well. I hope this isn't too much to ask!

I would do well in a home with other cats or kids but am fine as an only pet. Unsure about dogs.

I am a pretty friendly guy and have so much love to give. I love to make myself into a little burrito whenever I'm given a blanket to roll around in. I hope this earns me some points in the "cute" department.

Hello, my name is Walt. Yes, sort of like that Disney fellow. I am looking for a forever home and a human to go along with it. Can you help me out?

I am a five year old Domestic Long Hair with quite a fluffy coat. I'd say I'm on the larger size, too.

I admit, I am on the aloof side. I like my alone time , you see. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy any company at all though. I like a pet or two (maybe three) from my human companion on my terms.

My ideal home would be on the quieter side. No small children or dogs, please. I don't mind the company of other cats but I will also be fine being the only cat of the house.

I do hope to find a human who understands me. I may not enjoy a lot of affection but that doesn't mean I don't love and appreciate my human. Having a home is always better than having to spend your life in a shelter.

I'm an older gal - Around thirteen years old with a tuxedo coat pattern. Us older cats need love too and I'm hoping to find a human who understands this. 

My front paws are declawed. Just FYI.

I had a home and forever human before but unfortunately my other human had to go to a facility where they couldn't take me with them. I miss them so.

I don't mean to be picky but I am used to being an only pet and it was always pretty quiet in my old home so I prefer to go into another home similar to that. I'm not good with change, you see. I hear the site owners understand what that's like.

I do have something called Chronic Kidney Disease. It can easily be maintained with a prescription diet and it tastes pretty good! Please ask the humans about it at Paws and Prayers if you are curious.

Hello there, my name is Rya. I am an orange Domestic Short Hair Mix looking for my forever home. Can you help me?

I am a tiny little thing but I arrived at Paws and Prayers Shelter with five kittens of my own. They have all been adopted and I am hoping for my turn at finding a home and human to call my own.

Having been a mother I'd really like my new home to be quiet and peaceful. There's not a moment's peace when you're a mother, you see, let alone a mother of five kittens!

I do enjoy being petted but I also enjoy a little space every now and then. Balance is key with many things in life, no?

I love to curl up in my cat bed but we can also enjoy watching tv together. I'm curious to know what my forever human's favorite shows are.

Hello there, my name is River. I am six years young and currently searching for my forever home.

I get along well with just about everyone - other cats, dogs, kids, you name it! I do get a little anxious from time to time and would appreciate a home that has a little corner for me to rest and get my bearings.

I have been at Beauties and Beasts Rescue since 2020. Humans are hesitant to adopt me because I have Megacolon and am especially sensitive to chicken and turkey. Cats with Megacolon can live long and healthy lives so I hope somebody gives me a chance.

Did I mention I LOVE scratching cat trees. There can never be enough scratchers in my forever home. I can be a bit of a neat freak. I like to perch on the sides of my litterbox to avoid getting my feet dirty.
